The Joyful Heirs made their initial appearance Monday Nite @ Spring Hill M B Church during spring revival services April 1999 singing " Ain't It Sweet ". They sent the VHS tape to Bobby Jones Gospel where they were accepted to appear on (BET) Television (Aug.1999) held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since then the Joyful Heirs have traveled to many different cities in the USA and performed with some of the greatest artists of all times.
This group is known for their smooth and rich yet explosive (2&3) part background vocal harmonies found only in a family. Their style of singing is unique and unlimited ranging from sounds of Greg Kelly, the Highway QC's the Violinaires, the Supreme Angels, even the Delta Blues on God is Good featuring "B.B. Kevin". On one particular song, Rev Amos sounds a lot like the late Southern Soul - R& B artist Johnnie Taylor. You will notice from the first note, that there is something different about this group that sets them apart from others. They are not merely vocalizing, but singing from their hearts with the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Current group members are Helen Amos,Rev Stanley Amos,Lorraine(Littlebit)Amos,Natasha Amos Burnside,Kevin(B.B. Kevin)Amos and Orie Hudson Jr. Past members of The Joyful Heirs since their start in 1999 include James "JJ" Jones,Kevin Temple and Isaac Robinson. All of who brought their own unique style and vocals to the group.
The Joyful Heirs are always a favorite on their hometown Annual Country Day Festival held the 4th Saturday in August on the city's square Union Ms.
Their debut album Stop Shucking & Jiving was recorded in (2000) @ Huff Recording Studio, Forest Ms. All other projects were self-produced at Amos Recording Studio - Union,Ms owned and operated by Rev Stanley Amos and The Joyful Heirs which include All of God's Children (2002), He's Blessing Me and Willing To Run (2004), Let Jesus Fix It (2006) which received a 8.5 review on Gloryland Gospel in 2007 and their New 2010 project " Good Will Follow You "
